A. Yes it is fully legal, we can give you solictors contact details once you have completed the form. The solcitors will contact you to complete a confidentiality agreement and then they are more than willing to talk to you or your solictor in detai about this
Q. Can I keep my current solictor?
A. We are unable to proceed unless a solicitor from our panel is used. This is to ensure that the whole process moves smoothly.
Q. Is it possible to use this for purchases throughout the UK?
A. Unfortunatley not as the legal rules in Scoland are different and therefore properties in Scotland are not covered however it is possible to use this scheme in Ireland
Q. We have exchanged contracts, can we still use the scheme?
A.Unfortunatley not, the Stamp Duty scheme revolves around specific amendments to the sale contract. These changes must be made prior to exchange which have to be agreed by all parties to the transaction.When contracts have already been exchanged, it is therefore too late to implement the scheme.
Q. How much will I save?
A.Typically just under half of the stamp duty that you would ordinarily pay. If the property is valued at over £500,000 you have a mortgage offer in place and contracts have not been exchanged, you can contact us to provide you further details.
Q. How many cases have you had and is this tried and tested?
A. In excess of 800 cases have been successfully completed. References are available, on a confidential basis, from individuals who have successfully run the planning and from Chartered Accountancy firms who have referred clients and who, based on the results, continue to refer clients. The planning is backed by a robust Counsel’s opinion given by a leading Tax Counsel from Gray’s Inn Tax Chambers.
